Mahendra Jain

Chairman

Dear Friends,

Several years ago when I forayed into real estate I saw a phenomenal opportunity. An opportunity to rise above the predatory business practices of other developers and win the trust of the customer. An opportunity to serve the needs and aspirations of the customer with honest intentions and sincerity of purpose. An opportunity to reshape the business landscape by inverting it and placing the customer on top. With a vision to re imagine the real estate landscape we furiously set about establishing dreams, holding ourselves to exacting standards of transparency and quality that had hitherto been unheard of in the industry.

The growth of our business and the sterling reputation that it enjoys bear testament to the purity of our vision and the strength of our execution. However we could not have achieved this without the dogged support of our partners and employees and most importantly the trust and faith that our customers have reposed in us. It is this faith that still spurs us on, dissuading us from resting on our laurels. We continue to strive to provide our customers with superior quality projects in exquisite locations with a transparent and honest buying experience. Our vision is to once again bring about a paradigm change in the industry by redefining the standards of location selection, development strategy, quality of construction and customer delight.

At Arrjavv no other word defines our mission as “sincerity”. Sincerity towards our clients, sincerity towards our partners and sincerity towards our employees lies at the core of our organizational philosophy. It dominates and permeates every endeavor we undertake. And it is with this sincerity I seek your support in fulfilling our vision to reshape the landscape of our great city and hope that you will continue to entrust us with the fulfillment of your real estate aspirations.

Harsh Jain

Managing Director

“Two roads diverged in the woods,
And I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference”

These famous lines from Robert Frost’s immortal poem epitomize Harsh’s approach to life, sport and business. Educated at premier institutions in India and abroad, he brings a novel and international flavor to all the projects at Arrjavv. He has an uncanny ability to select hitherto overlooked locations and execute a development vision that creates immense value for his partners and customers alike. His design sensibilities are distinctly post modern with classical shades and he likes to challenge convention and push the envelope on the design aspect of Arjavv’s projects. Attention to detail, hawkish supervision and execution skills along with an innate ability to grasp the latent needs and aspirations of the customer allow him to extract maximum value out of a location for all stakeholders. An avid cricketer and a “pucca” gentleman, he likes to spend his spare time with his family.

Diva Jain

Director

Diva leads the Strategy and Branding function Arrjavv. She has an undergraduate degree in statistics and economics from the prestigious St Xavier’s College, Calcutta where she graduated with First Class Honours (Summa Cum Laude). Thereafter she forayed into Actuarial Sciences and was the youngest member of a select team of pension consultants for Watson Wyatt India (now Towers Watson) where she advised some of the largest pension funds in the country. After being bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, she left actuarial consulting to establish Happy Jute, a boutique exporter of Jute and Canvas products to some of the largest retailers. After tasting success as an entrepreneur with HappyJute, Diva joined Arrjavv to provide a larger, diverse and more challenging canvas to her passion for strategy and management. A firm believer in lifelong learning, Diva has also participated in executive level education programs at Wharton, Kellogg and ISB from whose PGPMAX program she graduated as a member of the Dean’s Honour List. Leveraging on her mathematical training, Diva has pioneered several acclaimed initiatives at Arrjavv. These include, customer analytics and branding; recognizing, evaluating and targeting the ultra luxury residential housing segment in Kolkata with a pioneering sky deck project; creating an award winning branding campaign for a mass housing project; and successfully establishing Arrjavv Industrial and Logistics Park, the only logistics hub of its kind in Eastern India.

Diva is also a columnist for The Telegraph, Kolkata and writes on Real Estate Investing, Value Investing, Behavioral Finance and Probability for Financial Decision Making. Outside of work, Diva is a doting and involved mother of two hyperactive children and a passionate crusader against the rigid Indian education system which she feels stifles the holistic development of children. A strong proponent of using both experiential and academic learning techniques to nurture young minds, Diva chair’s a Children’s Club which introduces children of diverse social backgrounds to the wonderful world of books as well as inculcates self learning habits in them through experiential workshops.

Diva’s own reading habits are eclectic and range from Behavioral Finance and Applied Probability to Victorian Literature and Greek Philosophy. She is an aspiring writer and an ardent espouser of women in real estate. A strong believer in the Jain philosophical tradition, Diva devotes her leisure time to practicing meditation and self awareness. She is currently researching on the role of behavioral finance in financial decision making and is in the process of writing a series of articles analyzing the often ignored aspect of behavioral incentives and probability in both professional and personal decision making.
